About
If you're wandering the vibrant streets of Warsaw, Pierogarnia Syrena Irena is a charming gem that beckons with the promise of authentic Polish flavors. Located conveniently at Krakowskie Przedmieście 4/6, this eatery specializes in pierogi, the beloved Polish dumplings that come filled with a variety of delicious fillings. With a focus on quality and tradition, the dishes here are not just a meal but a culinary experience steeped in the rich culture of Poland.
Reviewers rave about the fantastic food and reasonable prices, positioning Pierogarnia Syrena Irena as an upscale milk bar where modern touches meet classic flavors. The restaurant boasts a clean and inviting atmosphere, with well-designed interiors that enhance the dining experience. The branding is thoughtfully crafted, even extending to merchandise that delights patrons.
One standout feature shared by customers is the extensive variety of pierogi, including ample vegetarian options. Each dumpling is a bite of heaven, lovingly prepared and bursting with flavor. Notably, the cabbage salad and the sour beetroot juice received positive mentions, although some patrons noted the price point can feel a bit steep for traditional Polish cuisine. For example, one diner expressed surprise at paying over $20 for a modest meal, suggesting that while the food excels, the value may vary.
Despite some critiques regarding the vibe of the restaurant when it's less crowded, the dedicated staff creates a welcoming environment that encourages diners to linger and savor their meals. Feedback highlights the goulash as well, although opinions vary on its saltiness—pointing to the diversity of palate preferences that this eatery must cater to.
In summary, Pierogarnia Syrena Irena presents a delightful option for anyone craving traditional Polish dishes served in a contemporary setting. Whether you're a first-time visitor seeking your pierogi fix or a seasoned foodie wanting to explore a classic menu, this restaurant is a worthy stop on your culinary journey through Warsaw.
“ It was my first place to try the Pierogi. It was really tasty, and I could have eaten another plate! Unfortunately, the restaurant was virtually empty and not exactly vibing. Great food, though a bit basic. ”
“ Fantastic food, reasonable prices, friendly staff - basically an upscale milk bar. The whole place is clean and modern and the branding is so on point, they even sell merch. Can't recommend this place enough for quick, delicious Polish food! ”
“ The location of this restaurant is very good because it's in the middle of town. They have lots of vegetarian options which is why I went there. The pirogis were tasty. I ordered some cabbage salad too which was good. The best thing that I ordered was a sour beetroot juice. It wasn't fresh. It came in a bottle but it was very tasty. This place is quite expensive though. I paid over $20 US for two small orders of pierogi, a side cabbage salad, and a bottled juice, which I feel is a lot for polish prices. What disappointed me was that I had to pay three zlotky for a squeeze of Sambal Olek sauce. ”
“ The interior is well designed. The food was great although the goulash was a bit salty to my taste. Over all it’s good. It’s not gonna make you feel WOW after. But it’s nice ;) ”
“ The menu shown in the review is different from the menu on the official website. The promotion is gone and the prices of some food are different. If you forgot to update it, hope you can update it as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings. The dishes are still good. I like chocolate block the most. ”
“ Absolutely the best pierogi in Warsaw! Delicious, perfectly made dumplings with a wide variety of fillings. The staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Plus, the quirky, retro-inspired interior adds a fun and memorable twist to the whole experience. A must-visit spot for comfort food lovers! ”
“ We stopped by here to get a pierogi lunch and we were very pleased with the different kind of pierogis we got. We had the meat, potato/cottage cheese and pumpkin kinda and all were great and so were the condiments. The staff did a good job too. In the restaurant they had good prices for a bottle of sparkling wine an and they also had daily specials that were very good. There was also a server robot that the kids liked. ”
“ We were recommended this place by a walking tour guide. We were surprised to find such good value for money and delicious food right in the heart of the touristy area of Warsaw, with a view of Copernicus's monument! It has a bit of a stołówka (canteen) feel, but the pierogi are varied and delicious. The ones stuffed with pumpkin are surprisingly good. You can choose from lots of different types of topping. They have good vegetarian options and alternatives (for example żurek with mushrooms instead of sausage). There's plenty of space and the food is quick. The only restaurant we visited twice during our stay in Warszawa. ”
